Good Riddance!
So it’s been over a year since that inaugural blog post for AnastasiaTubanos.com was posted and I suppose it’s a bit of a shame that I haven’t been jumping onto THIS area of new media more whole-heartedly. A lot has happened over the past 365 days, which in retrospect would’ve made for some pretty rad posts I’m sure, but I’m finally ready to take this blogging phenomenon with arms wide open. I’ve had my reservations about it (still do to some extent) but after years of talking the talk about new media, blogging and personal branding to fellow “old media” peers, I’m ready to walk the walk.
And what better time than to do it at one of the biggest events dedicated to interactivity and new media – SXSW, where creativity collides with technology.
As for what I plan on talking about with this website? Considering it’s named after yours truly, it’ll mostly about me (of course, this is a vehicle that will help me push and expand my “personal brand”), my occasionally hilarious and/or pathetically sad adventures in the world of television, journalism and new media and a healthy dose of random thoughts and discussions I come across in my day-to-day journey as a producer, director, host, over-analytical woman and saucy minx J Everything from the newest technologies or fashion trends I’m currently obsessed with, to celeb gossip, to critiques on the old media landscape, and anecdotes of people I meet on this tumultuous ride called Life.
Thanks for dropping by and I encourage you to share your thoughts on some of brilliance and bilge I’m sure I’ll occasionally spew out in this forum. More importantly, I hope it gives you (and, quite honestly, me) and better sense of who I am, what I’m all about and what curious things I’ll be up to over the next little while.
